MARBLE

(Beauty; Eulogy; Hardness; Wealth) In a dream, marble represents prosperity, a beautiful wife, respectable people, class, servants, or properties.

If a poor person sees the floor of his house covered with marble in a dream, it means prosperity, marriage, purchasing a business, acquiring knowledge, learning a poem, bearing righteous children, or if he qualifies, it could mean that he will receive a high ranking appointment, or that he may actually work with marble, or in sculpturing marble or in manufacturing fountains from marble, or work in masonry, or as a stone cutter, or he may change his attitude toward things, signaling the end of depression and the start of a joyful time in his life, living in high rises, or spending money for leisure and vacations. Ifone sees gravestones made of marble, or if one sees marble pillars in a dream, it means a good reward for one’s deeds, or it could mean eulogy, or lauding.

An architecturally sound edifice made from marble in a dream represents good writing, skillfulness, dowry or a generous prenuptial agreement.

If the marble is used excessively in the dream, it means suspicion and doubt about one’s resources or source of income.

The marble bases of a pillar in a dream represents social benefits. As for marble tiles in a dream, they represent beautiful and noble women, or dignitaries. As for marble jars, tiles, or basins in a dream, they represent the positive and negative effects one overlooks during the course of this life.

TRANSMUTATION

In dreaming.

To be changed from little to great, and again from great to be greater, so that you exceed not reason, is good, for it is increase of business and goods; but to be greater than common use is death. Aiso, it is ill for an old man to be changed into a young man, or a young man into a child, for they shall change to a worse estate; but the contrary is good, for they shall come to a better estate.

To dream of being turned into a woman is very good for men in mean circumstances. Rich men who dream thus will meet with misfortunes; and such a dream is bad to all handicraftsmen whose labor is hard.

If a woman dream that she is an unmarried man, without children, she will have both husband and children; but if married, and having children, she will die a widow.

To be turned into brass shows some sudden quarrel and victory; it is good for military men. Iron shows hardness and misery. Clay or earth foretells dissolution; but those who deal in earthenware may reap good from such a dream. Rocks, stone, flint, etc. , show continuai hard usage, with mocks, reproaches, blows, and slanders.

STONE

The stone is a symbol of being, of cohesion and consistency with yourself. Its hardness has always been seen as the opposite of the biological, subject to the laws of change, decay, and death. Despite appearances, the stone also has an inverse meaning to SAND. This element, in short, is an emblem of resistance, tenacity, perseverance, and eternity of being. Similarly, these qualities can lead to coldness, stubbornness, and the refusal of renewal. As a heavy element, a stone can symbolize the harsh burdens and responsibilities you have in real life. On the other hand, when broken into many pieces a stone represents dismemberment, mental disintegration, illness, death, and defeat.

If you dream that the stones rain down from the sky it means that your heart is hardened. Finally, gemstones symbolize transmutation from opacity to transparency, from imperfect into perfect. (See ROCK)

Stones in the road may be a reference to the clumsy and difficult-to-handle people who impede your progress.

If you throw stones, the dream indicates accusations. According to some oracles, if you collect them, you will inherit properties. Finally, to find precious stones augurs good luck.... The Big Dictionary of Dreams

TRAVEL

Sleep is already, of a fashion, a trip to the center of oneself. Consequently, there are many meanings associated with this dream. In general, it represents your vital travel. Finding yourself in the middle of a wide road suggests the wellbeing of your progress. If, in contrast, the road is full of rocks, it is trying to say that the path is arduous and difficult. A luxurious environment, on the other hand, indicates that you are pleased with your situation; but, if it is an arid desert, it expresses loneliness and lack of creativity. The hardness or smoothness of the path will manifest the tenseness or relaxedness that you are, respectively. The destination of the trip could be to find one’s true self.

If the lands that you encounter on you path are strange and unknown, everything could be an invitation of the subconscious to explore. In mythology, a trip to the west signifies a return to your ancestry, while a trip to the east denotes rejuvenation. The interpretation of the places, cities, or countries that you visit will add valuable information.

The ancient interpretations of dreams coincide with the modern ones. For example, the ease with which you realize the trip will be the same that you will find, in some future, in real life. In addition, the medieval mystics said that dreaming of a happy group of friends taking a trip signifies that you will soon experience a happy existential period.... The Big Dictionary of Dreams

CRYSTALS, GEMSTONES AND ROCKS

Many dream analysts believe that when a specific stone, jewel, mineral, metal or rock is highlighted in your dream, it represents the self or the core, unique part of yourself that is charged with personal significance.

According to Freud, rocks and stones are obvious phallic symbols on account of their hardness. The appearance of rocks, stones and metals in dreams for Jungians, however, has a different interpretation inspired by Jung’s interest in alchemy. Alchemy is the ancient art of transmuting base metals into gold but it is not just about this transformation. It can also be viewed as a system of self- initiation. Jung was amazed to find that the images and operations he encountered in old alchemy texts related strongly to his theories of psychoanalysis and the unconscious. He saw in alchemy a metaphor for the process of individuation or personal transformation, and the morphing and mutating imagery of that process which emerges from the stream of consciousness. For Jungians, therefore, the appearance of rocks, stones, metals and jewels in dreams are potent and powerful symbols of a person’s basic nature, heart and soul, and of their potential for personal transformation. METAL

In dreams, metal represents strength, material power and force. It can also suggest strength of will, perhaps unbending emotions or a hard or unfeeling nature. Any metal appearing in a dream therefore suggests basic abilities and attributes, but also hardness of feeling or emotional coldness.

Aluminum or aluminum foil signifies a need for reflection or introspection. Perhaps you need a change in perspective. Bronze suggests the blending of different aspects of your life, whilst also portraying recognition for perseverance and the successful completion of your goals. Copper suggests intelligence, an outgoing nature or the need to communicate something important.

Gold is a symbol of what is precious or valued in your life. Finding gold indicates that you are discovering and expressing these characteristics in your life; burying gold means you are hiding something. Associated with the sun and victory, gold may also represent life, completion and renewal. For alchemists, gold represents the spiritual treasure that was gained by transforming the spirit.

If the gold is cheap, this suggests something you value but that does not deserve your respect.

If the gold is tarnished, this suggests something beautiful in you that has been neglected.

When the metal iron appears in a dream, it usually suggests strength and determination but it can also suggest emotional coldness.

If you are using a clothes iron, is there something in your life you are trying to smooth over? In dreams, the appearance of lead suggests a situation in your waking life that is burdening you and leaving you heavy-hearted. Lead as in a lead pencil also has associations with masculinity. Mercury in dreams implies a fluctuating situation or vacillation within yourself over a particular problem. To dream of nickel suggests the need for a new approach to replace an old one. It can also suggest small steps you need to take to help you reach your goal.

Platinum in dreams is a symbol of a life aspect that stimulates multiple opportunities, whilst silver has a double meaning: on a practical level it suggests finance or money, but on a psychological level it represents the qualities of the moon or the need to follow your intuition. Spiritually, silver is said to represent the feminine aspect, whilst gold is the masculine.

If polished silver has the properties of a mirror so your dream may be suggesting that you need to reflect on some waking situation.

Steel in dreams is a symbol of strength and endurance, whereas tin is a symbol of something or someone inferior in your life that is not of the quality it should be; tin may also indicate low self-esteem. Bear in mind, too, that certain metals are also associated with certain planets: Sun-gold; Moon-silver; Mercury- quicksilver; Venus-copper; Mars-iron; Jupiter-tin; Saturn-lead....
