A situational or circumstantial dream resulting from going to bed hungry or having an unsatisfied craving.
A symbolic manifestation of desires for things like achievement, adventure, passion, etc.
Essential portions of the self that are being neglected, and therefore metaphorically hunger for your attention.
Hidden desires; need for spiritual sustenance, meditation.
To dream one is extraordinarily hungry, and that his appetite craves sustenance, shows that he will be ingenious, laborious, and eager in getting an estate, and that he will grow rich in proportion to the greatness of his hunger.
An unhappy and childless marriage is indicated if lovers dream that they are hungry.
If it is confirmed that the dream does not have a physiological origin (sometimes we have the urge to eat when we are asleep), hunger can indicate the presence of some dissatisfaction, in most cases intellectual. This image, therefore, represents the soul’s desire to find the answer to deep questions. When the dream repeats often and the hunger is never satiated, it may reflect sexual problems or problems with communication with a partner.

1- Experiencing hunger in a dream indicates that our physical, emotional or mental needs arc not being properly satisfied.
It is possible that the dreamer is actually hungry, and this is being recognised in the dream.
2- Every human being has needs which require satisfaction. While that lack of satisfaction may not be acknowledged in the waking state, it can be translated into dream symbolism and become hunger.
3- Seeking Spiritual satisfaction and fulfilling a need is one aspect of hunger.

Depth Psychology: Hunger is a symbol of the need to be accepted, including your opinions and judgments. Even if life is secure, this dream may refer to a maybe unfounded fear of poverty. This fear needs to be held up to the light of day and reality. Are you in need of “spiritual nourishment”? Are you fasting right now? Could actual hunger be behind the dream?
Feeling hungry in a dream may represent a feeling of unfulfillment.
The dreamer may be starving for recognition, or hungering to obtain or to achieve something long desired. Alternatively, this dream experience could simply indicate that one is actually hungry and needs to nourish oneself with good food. (See also Devour, Eating).
Hunger in the spiritual sense is a yearning to be filled with spiritual awareness. In dreams this can be experienced as an actual physical feeling of hunger.
Psychological / emotional perspective: Emotionally when we are tired or upset we have the need to be comforted and cherished. There is something lacking and the dreaming mind can translate this into hunger.
